Sauce:
3/4 C. Sugar
4 Tbsp. Ketchup
1/3 C. Vinegar
1/4 C. Pineapple Juice
1 Tbsp. Soy sauce
1 tsp. accent
½ tsp. salt
Heat until sugar dissolves.
Chicken:Cut chicken into pieces (about 1 in cube) sprinkle with garlic salt. Let sit 15 minutes. Dip in beaten egg, then coat in cornstarch (or bisquick). Fry in oil until golden brown. Put in casserole dish. Pour sauce over chicken. Bake 45 min - 1 hour, uncovered @ 350. Serve over rice.
**This one has been a great freezer recipe. I fry the chicken, let them cool and then fill a quart sized freezer bag with the chicken. In another bag I put the sauce. When I'm ready to serve it I dump the chicken and sauce in a pan and bake. The chicken takes a little time to make, so I love making extra to have a meal in the freezer.
